The Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5i 82HS000GUS is an entry-level convertible (2-in-1) laptop. This model doesn’t offer that much in terms of performance, especially considering price. At the time I’m writing this short review, this model was being sold for around $500. It’s affordable, but I think there are better options to consider if your budget allows it.
In spite of its entry-level credentials, the Intel Core i3-1115G4 will prove itself as a surprisingly fast processor to have. However, I’m sad to say that 4 gigabytes of system memory will drag the whole system down. This means your multitasking will be heavily limited, as well as running more advanced programs. Storage space is adequate. If you need more, you’ll have to replace the existing SSD.

I’ve found interface options to be plentiful. Display quality is better than most similarly priced competitors, as well as battery life. A full charge will last about 8 to 9 hours of moderate use, which is slightly more than a full day’s worth of work. All in all, the Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5i 2HS000GUS is a decent 2-in-1.
However, if you’re willing to pay about 20% more on a convertibile, I’d go for the Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 82HU0036US. Comparatively, the more expensive AMD-powered Flex 5 is a best buy. You get 4 times as much system memory, a better processor and twice the storage space.
